Adventure camping

Our Tanzania adventure camp option offers you accommodation in public campsites. These have basic facilities like the following:

• Toilets
• Communal kitchens
• Washing areas
• Usually a bar and basic restaurant
• Hot showers

You have at your disposal a cook who prepares all your meals, which are served outside, using camp tables and chairs that we supply. A mess tent or shelter is provided in case of rain. It is common to have wild animals visit the campsites at night.
We provide a cook and driver/guide for all our camping safaris.

Permanent tented camps

Permanent tented camps give you the best of both worlds: a safari lodge's comfort, and the sensation experienced when you camp in a remote area. These tented safari camps provide accommodation in big tents with canvas sides, mounted on stone or wooden platforms.
These well furnished, ensuite tented camps offer the following facilities:

• Electricity
• Lush carpets
• Four post beds
• Ceiling fans
• Tents are mosquito and insect proof
• Cool interior due to natural material canopies (makuti or thatch)

Safari lodges (standard)

Tanzania's standard safari lodges are comparable to ordinary tourist class hotels. These safari lodges usually belong to Tanzania's Wildlife Lodge Group, a company that used to belong to the government. These lodges unfortunately don't offer you the greatest value for your money, since the privatisation led to significant increases in room rates.
